Welcome to the Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program (MLB Program).

With the MLB Program, two of Germany's leading private universities, Bucerius Law School and WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, have combined their experience to offer a Program that is particularly designed to appeal to law or business graduates and professionals from around the world.

Duration and Location

The Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program is a one-year program that is taught entirely in English. The main location is the Bucerius Law School Campus in Hamburg. However, the MLB students also spend two live-in weeks at the WHU Campus in Vallendar.

Applicants and Application

The Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program is designed with law and business graduates in mind who have at least two years of work experience (incl.  internships). However, applicants with different academic backgrounds but a demonstrated interest in the fields of law and business can also be considered for admission.

Interdisciplinary Approach

The Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program offers legal and business professionals a unique interdisciplinary approach to the study of law and business that enables them to deepen their knowledge of both disciplines.

International Student Body and Faculty

In the Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program a student body, generally consisting of 50 students from approx. 30 countries from around the world are taught by international faculty from academia and practice.

Career Service

The Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program has a career service staff of two that is dedicated to assisting the MLB students in finding an obligatory eight-week internship.

The MLB Team is dedicated to providing the MLB students with the highest level of administrative support possible in order to facilitate a smooth transition to life in Germany and the MLB Program.

Tuition and Financial Aid

The cost of the Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz Program is €22,000. However, there are various merit and need-based as well as some regional scholarships and other financial aid options that can help admitted students make a Bucerius/WHU education more affordable.
