by Benjamin Alka, MLB Class of 2009
On Sunday September 7, 2008, the MLB Class of 2009 traveled to Vallendar for the first time, to spend a week at the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. The focus of the Live-in Week was to get to know the institution and also take part in lectures in investments, general management and strategic management. Aside from the academic experience the time in Valleder also provided the chance to network: at a barbeque with the MBA students at WHU as well as the Mannheim Business School and during presentations by the firms JP Morgan and Bain & Company. The program was topped off with a visit to the Marksburg castle followed by a knightâs banquet in the castle as well as a trip to Koblenz. The Live-in Week provided a great environment for the MLB students to get to know one another better.
Special thanks go to the organizers: the WHU team, especially the research assistant Oxana Zhukova, Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf, the program director of the Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business Program, Professor Dr. Michael Frenkel, President of WHU, and Aimee Mattimoe from Bucerius Law School.
