Birdies, pars, and bogies were the talk of the day on a warm sunny afternoon at the first ever Master of Law and Business Golf Networking Event. It was the culmination of a rigorous eight-week internship period for MLB students and an opportunity to take internship employers out for a day of golf and good times at the Golf & Country Club Gut Bissenmoor.
Out on the course, the experienced golfers were put into teams and played a nine-hole Texas Scramble. The rest had a mini-competition of their own on the practice range following a lesson from course pros. Christoph Eschke of Ebner Stolz Mönning Bachem & Partner, Lars Luck of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Attorney Ernst J. Hoffmann, and MLB student Conrad Poczka won the scramble with an impressive even par final score.
"I am more than happy about the outcome of the golf event," says Julia Mertins, MLB Internship Coordinator and creator of the event. "Everyone seemed to have a great time and the mixture between playing golf and networking worked out perfectly. It would be a pleasure to organize such an event again in the future."
