The internship is an essential component of the MLB Program. It provides MLB participants the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained in the first six months of the Program to international business and legal practice. In addition, because it takes place before the writing of the master’s thesis, the internship provides students with an excellent opportunity to find thesis topics that are of interest to both themselves and to potential employers.

While students are ultimately responsible for securing their own internships, the MLB Career Adviser aids them actively in this process. The work of the Career Adviser includes individual career counseling, analysis and coaching of international application and interview standards, creation of a CV book for potential recruiters, market research and information on vacancies as well as support during the application process. Students are able to take advantage of the well established networks of the MLB Program, its alumni and that of both the Bucerius Law School and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Most internships take place in Germany, but some students also find placements in other European countries, Asia, Africa and the Americas. So far, internships have taken place in 17 countries.

We would like to express our appreciation to our internship employers.

In order to help our students and alumni to find internships/job placements, we send out a CV book to companys, law firms and organizations worldwide. Companies who would like to receive a complete CV book for the current MLB class may contact Julia Mertins.
